Kharla'ggen Vel'Vloz'ress

Kharla'ggen is the youngest Ilharess in Chel'el'sussoloth history. She unexpectedly gained her position with the support of Sene'kha Vel'Vloz'ress, after repelling Sharen invaders from the home of the future Vel'Vloz'ress. The Ilharess is not easy to approach for numerous reasons. Kharla'ggen possesses a penchant for making living dolls, and is capable of swallowing the aura of her enemies. She is tainted to the core, and it is remarkable her demon had not already taken over its host.

Kharla'ggen is never seen without her mask. She is horrified at merely glancing at a mirror. The mask was a habit started by Ven'nedia, whom was later killed by Kharla'ggen.

Some Vloz'ress underlings believe their Ilharess is merely a figurehead, who would not harm anyone if left alone. However, in Chapter 11, Kharla'ggen does make it clear she has some desires. She is clearly interested in Discordia, a demon part of a greater entity. For unclear reasons, Kharla'ggen would very much like to possess the child of Mal'kaisar'as, to lure an unknown being to her.
