Clans:The Vel

The Vel prefix signifies two things; status as a Great Clan, and that the clan's members are ver'drowendar. Some refer to the Vel clans as corrupted, as demon-worshippers or worse.
Chel'el'Sussoloth currently has two Vel clans.

Vel'Sharen

The ruling clan went Vel after the Nidraa'chal war, the official explanation was that they were tainting themselves to avoid what happened in the war, tainting would be a vaccine against demonic possession.

Vel'Vloz'ress

This group of outcasts became a clan after the Nidraa'chal war. They were all tainted, and their young Ilharess possessed incredible power in addition to being tainted to the core - so badly tainted noone was sure how she still lived. The Vloz'ress took the place of a Great Clan which had recently perished, and although there were many protests against their claim, none were successful in stopping them or pushing them back. The Vloz'ress were there to stay.
