Half snake, half drow, she is little more than an animal.
Half snake, half drow, she is little more than an animal.

Afae is one of the Corrupted, her lower half eaten by a snake whose venom has destroyed her mind and turned her into a living weapon at the command of the Vloz'ress.

Afae was one of the Corrupted, the bestial, unsettling fusions of giant snake and drow, where the symbiotic snake's potent venom floods and drowns the drow's consciousness. Because of this procedure, Afae had no character or personality to speak of, and her history before being subjected to the snake's arresting bite is unknown. She was equipped with a spear with an extending point in her hands and a large morning-star strapped to the snake's tail.

Afae formed part of the warband that was assembled by Sene'kha Vel'Vloz'ress in order to run the demonic "shard", Discordia, to ground. As a consequence, she was drawn into the fighting when Sene'kha's group collided with Ky'ovarde Val'Kyorl'solenurn's party from the Order of the Twin Eyes. Afae made her presence felt with a sneak attack - achieved by burrowing underneath the cavern floor and exploding up from it - although any surprise she might have achieved was spoiled by the empathic abilities of Ae'theriss Val'Kyorl'solenurn, who sensed her approach.

The clumsy and drug-addled quality of the Corrupted as soldiers was demonstrated again in Afae; despite her intimidating presence she was killed in the very same battle; impaled on a sword wielded by Ano'toti Val'Kyorl'solenurn, who is only a young recruit.
