Drowkaki was finally upgraded to Poteto 5.1 then to Wax Poteto. A much needed upgrade after so many years without change and with all these bugs plaguing us. We had to trash our custom MODS but it seem that wax poteto include some of the stuff we had. Avatar(go in your profile) and picture uploading. It also come with some new features as well. The most important one is to be able to re-touch everything, including SHI-PAINTER pictures , non animated oekaki and uploaded stuff. I'm sorry we didn't do this upgrade sooner. Now the board is pretty much lifeless, but i hope now that approving new accountsl became optional, that some life will return around here on this fantasy-only oekaki board.

DONE! The whole lot... Agression, Despair, Abscence and Self-Loathing, the Sinisters. Each represent a dimension of a person. Agression is physical, Despair is psychological, Absence is mental and Self-Loathing is... uhm... self-image, I suppose.

I personally love the way you always seem to bring depth to your characters through your wonderful colouring Windy. BTW Nice blood.

That expression is priceless xD while the other one looks bored; adds to the humor :) This will be awesome when finished :) I can tell xD

Awww... still not done? *then remembers you didn't want me to comment on your unfinished stuff and alos ontices you've worked on it for 5 hours already* Eep! Please don't kill me! ^w^;;;

Anyway, I really like how it is so far and I can clearly see the efforts you put in the coloring and shading! And Agression is still my favorite since the beginning. XD

I'm really, really, REALLY looking forward to see the end result. ^w^ But still, take your time, if you need it! ^w^

catboi incubus mishi @ Saturday, February 26th 2005, 3:12 PM
These are cute but scary. I really like how they're all the same, yet slightly different not only in their poses but in the details, the little brooches and the way they match the ribbons on their hats, and the color variation in their cloaks. o; I really like the one on the far right, Self Loathing, I think? I lie how it has little yellow spots leaking out. O:

Unimportant @ Saturday, February 26th 2005, 6:37 PM
Whoot! Hee hee, I really like these. Aggression's lil' smile is creepy and cute! >w< I think my favorite is Self-Loathing though. ((That's the last one with the yellow spots right? Anyways, it just seems so cute. ((Yeah I'm weired...))
Great job thought!! <3

darkrose @ Saturday, February 26th 2005, 10:38 PM
Cool! What a neat concept... I might have to try that one sometime... hmm... your shading is always so awesome, so 3d and perfect, and the lineart is always so smooth. You convey what you want with such force it's awesome. Heh, Windy's personality demons are blackmage...

Ghislain WildCat @ Saturday, February 26th 2005, 11:56 PM
YAAAAAAAAAAY!!!! It's done!!! ^w^ *jumps up and down*

It's really nice! ^w^ I LOVE those little Sinisters! But once again, Agression's still my favorite! XD But I kinda like Self-Loathing too! (if it's the one fading out with the muzzle peeking out, tha's her. XD).

And again I really like how you colored/shaded it. ^w^ Really nice job.

*captures Agression so I can use her to attack anyone oposing me* BWAHAHAHA!!!

Prismatic @ Sunday, February 27th 2005, 12:40 AM
Wow it's finished! This is super grande great~ I love all their different expressions and the like. And the mist in the background is really nifty. I like how the background figure appears misty as well.
The depth of colors in the figure to the right is so fantastic. They seem so rich. And I really like how the black clouds around the center figure.

Little Elf @ Sunday, February 27th 2005, 5:23 PM
Yay! Windbalde you finished it! It looks great! The little 'trails' they have are great! I don't have anything to say, this is really good. The BG is nice, and everything! Ya know, I'm like, rambling...I think. I'll shut up, I'm almost speachless anyway. Niiiice.

Ikena @ Sunday, February 27th 2005, 5:53 PM
Woah windy! this is amazing!
I must say that I love Agression and Absence! tho they are all amazing!
I lve the soft coloring and how alike, yet different they are =3

Queen_Godzilla @ Saturday, March 5th 2005, 2:16 AM
Aah, what can I say?

XD Agression's face makes me laugh. It's that evil grin with those doofy eyes. So cute (well, despite the blood.)

Despair looks appropriately gloomy. However, maybe (s)he should be a bit darker. I noticed already that the color saturation was less than the other creatures but if it was darker it would work with the black more.

Absence -- I thought it'd be neat if (s)he was see-through. Heh. more absent then, eh? But as it is, (s)he is already half-gone and is different from the other ones.

And Self-Loathing -- Are the yellow orbs supposed to be eyeballs? Or... what? It's kind of creepy. Okay, it's REALLY creepy. XD MAKE THE SCARY STOP.

Lurv! <3

Wow. This boards been on a roll lately. Keep it up everyone. ^_^

Funny how you'll have something in your mind when you start drawing, and when you finish it's so off base you wonder how it happened. >_>
Anyway, that can make things fun to draw. Like this was, despite the ginormous canvas size. (I can't figure out why I did that.) I didn't do the greatest job of filling it. Yes, many dull areas, but still, this was meant to look a little dreary. Might end up adding things anyway.

Yes. I gots camera today.

Oh man, that's a cool picture. I wasn't sure if it was clouds or muddy water until I watched the animation. The use of browns is awesome.

I really like watching the animation, too. More people should do animated pictures. It's always fun to see how other artists do things.

Tigerhawk @ Monday, February 13th 2006, 8:10 PM
*watches the animation* Wow, you make that look so simple. You did a superb job with the monocromatic feel. Did you know brown drains energy? So this picture gives you a sense of hopelessness. Luf the puffy clouds :3

Sumi @ Monday, February 13th 2006, 9:23 PM

Cute, isn't she? I just got this image in my head of this rebel demon who wants to be a normal girl....heeehhhh

Queen_Godzilla @ Tuesday, February 8th 2005, 1:02 AM
And she has a demon name like Akasha Slashvixen (given to her by her mother of course) and so she wants to go by a normal human name like Mildred or Jenny. *Snrk!*

Haha, nice expression. She looks very bored, but also wry. The colors are everywhere in this picture, which is your style and why I like it. Just gives it more of a traditional medium's feel. Heh. And the added piece o' hay. Awesome.

Cai @ Tuesday, February 8th 2005, 2:58 AM
Personally, I like Mildred. She looks like a Mildred.

Anyway! I like the eyes, for some reason. I can never draw eyes with that expression... *cough* It's late, and I'm doing homework, so excuse any vagueness.

Oh, and I have a thing for curling horns. And the ones you drew are very very nice indeed, even being sketchy. :3

darkrose @ Tuesday, February 8th 2005, 10:01 AM
That is... disturbingly cute. her expression is fantastic, and the little red snap barettes are a wonderful touch. Her hair is just the right consistancy, which is awesome, and the horns add just a touch of the not-normal that really sets it all off. The colors are warm and soft with just the right amount of contrast. Great job.

catboi incubus mishi @ Tuesday, February 8th 2005, 2:56 PM
Karasu, your work is always so fun to look at. I love how you always put the pink on their noses! <33 Her expression is cute, along with the piece of grass. XDD And her horns! Yay! You should really develop a story about her. <3

Those Eyes rock; the creepy vibe rolls off them! Lovin' the simplicity of this and the coloring; in other words; great sense of style! Olive green Fits the theme :)

Totenmaske @ Wednesday, February 9th 2005, 5:37 AM
Karasu, I always look forward to your images, as some have said ? your images are always fun to look at. Certainly the colouring is more slap dash in some regards (only in the sense of some loose colour bleed here and there) but that really fits your style and the details always win out in your images to make the comment about ?slap dash? colouring mute. I like the overall look of the colouring though in all your images, it always seems to express a sense of motion or character. The effect overall is more like painting really the more I think about it. But I digress, what I think is really nice is the slight impression of a blur effect which smoothes everything out in a rather unique way that is altogether rather pleasing to the eye.

The main feature of this image that really catches the eye of the viewer, in my opinion, is her wonderful expression ? to me it isn?t one of boredom though, that has been said in a previous comment ? but one of disdain or flippant rebellion to authority. As in she seems to be more adolescent in her expression ? which I particularly love. Especially in the way you brought up her eyes just so, and the little well thistle in her mouth. The horns and frankly the shading overall in the image is very exceptional ? it creates such a strange but pleasing lighting effect all over. The way you did the rather overly pink nose and cheek and chin colouring is interesting. Overall even though this is one of our smaller pieces I think it has all the wonderful details that really mark all your pieces.

The little hair berets (boy I hope I?m saying that properly) are such a nice touch ? also creating this sense that she is a rebellious youth. I really like the way you curve the horns to frame the face ? the only issue I have though is the odd green colouring at the top of the upper left corner, though I believe this is showing that the hair is just ruffled around the base. Overall this is an exceptional piece and I do hope to see more Karasu! Keep up the wonderful work.

Prismatic @ Thursday, February 10th 2005, 9:58 AM
Oh~ This is so pretty. Your works always are. So nice and soft and watery. And thier noses are always pink! I love that.
The shading in this is so great. You even have single shadows for the single strands of hair. She's adorable.

I can so see this character wearing farmor overalls and leaning against a fence either around a feild or next to a farm house, tail swishing back and forth, and a Ko'd bull laying on the ground behind her. Don't ask me why that image popped in my head, but it did. ^^;

Watching the animation I have to admit I really love the little details that you put in the rough sketch of her ? I think some of the details though have been a little lost with the thick line art ? especially the Cthulhu little shoulder embroidery which seems to have lost its tentacles. Now I know this isn?t finished so I?ll withhold any further comment, but I have to say I really like the background you have going ? the wonderful softness and the way you rendered the stars is very pleasing indeed. Keep up the good work!

catboi incubus mishi @ Friday, February 4th 2005, 2:39 PM
First of all, I just loooove the lighting effect here, they're so pretty and swirly. <333 I like her boots, they're quite cute - but oh my, is that her butt? O: Her lower legs look a little disconnected from her upper legs. ;\ I like her little dress, but like Toten was saying, the thick lineart sort of takes away from the magical feel. O: But my favorite favorite part, moreso than the swirlies, is her STAFF. O: It's so pretty and I just love it. The light coming off of it is very pretty and yay. Good job, keep up the good work! :D

celestial crou @ Friday, February 4th 2005, 11:34 PM
I like the staff. You put a lot of detail in it. so it just beggs for complements. The pose the the girl is nice and anotomically correct. But it lacks the attention to detail that the staff got. The eyes seem a little off. One higher then the other. The hair is pretty too! The wavy layered look complemented with the varying colors of shade / highlight.. Very nice. The BG really brings out the hair and glove. Nice job wot the orb too. SHINY!

darkrose @ Friday, February 4th 2005, 11:53 PM
wow... yup, yay details! I love the staff, and the shoes are awesome. Her shoulders seem a little bit off, like they're not quite attatched to her body, but other than that the anatomy looks very sound. Her expression is very nice, very calm, and the background is mystical but also muted in color adding to the quiet feel. I really likes it!

Kari Maxwell @ Saturday, February 5th 2005, 12:23 AM
I like the staff most. The only thing that looks odd to me is her shoulders. They seem a little too high and too rounded. Perhaps lowering the one that is not holding the staff would help. It may be the absense of seeing her neck that does it. I don't know. -shrugs- Nice colours. Love the flowing blues and blacks in the background.

olsie @ Saturday, February 5th 2005, 4:01 AM
The hair and the stuaff would be my two favorite things about this picture :o
The cold feeling of the sky and the magic brings in some extra mood; and so does the shine at the end of the staff! It's awesome! Her costume rocks btw :D
The only crit I would have to give is that the ears could be slightly lower. :) They are too high where they are currently. She also has one too many fingers :o

Starisan @ Monday, February 7th 2005, 3:19 PM
AWWW, this is sweet, I think the background rocks the world, I also love the glow of the staff, my only question would be is she wearing a turtle neck? Other then that I love this, cute face.

Karasu @ Tuesday, February 8th 2005, 12:43 AM
Oh, the mist here in the picture is just breathtaking, as wel as the color/shading you chose to do....but, I feel the face could use a little bit more definition...the part of the face by the ear on our right. Other than that, I think this is really well done, but my opinion here doesnt mean much lol

I think my jaw dropped when I saw this- No, I'm pretty sure it did. The shading is excellent and you kept true to your light source. The hair is so delicate looking, you can practically feel the silkyness of it. And that jewelry- Must I rant about the depth of it? Awesome job, especially with the facial structure.

Nice use of colour especially on the butterfly on the right. *nods nods*

My only problem is that I have no idea what background I should use (would prefer something that doesn't distract from all the sparkles)

Mouse @ Saturday, April 8th 2006, 7:32 PM
The smooth transition, the coloring... this is good. I keep on trying to trace all the butterflies individually with my eyes. You'd be good with those "find those random objects in the picture" puzzles.

Arisu @ Saturday, April 8th 2006, 9:44 PM
Oh my. Really nice concept here! I like the way you paid attention to ALL the little details even though your canvas is so big. That's something I will never be able to do. *admiration for your skill and patience* I love the way the butterflies shine.

olsie @ Monday, April 10th 2006, 6:31 AM

I Think Greens, or Yellows would make a good background...even if it did take eons, opposite color butterflies in the background would be fitting, IMO.

Remember Argpoodle\'s always-dying trait? It seems my boyfriend has a bad habit of dying a lot. Always. No matter the character. This new campaign, opening night, Liston (boyfriend\'s new guy) decides to swim out a differrent way than us and got eaten by a shark. So Liston was a character for a whole like 3 hours. We found on the boat in the comic an unconscious guy, the character succeeding Liston LOL
Good thing my boyfriend has backups....always...and several of them, too.

This is so.... wow.
I dunno where to begin. Everywhere I look, I see splendid details.

Let's start with those eyes. They're just amazing. And her hair looks really good too - I like how they flow in the wind.
I really like how you did that outfit. It looks really amazing. I like the spider web detailing.

I like the 2 dragons... they're so beautiful. I need one of those. =3
As for the background, it's just so simple, but really cool. A full background would've been a little too much I think. With all that darkness around Ariel, we can see every detail of her really clearly.

Excellent work. =D

Tigerhawk @ Tuesday, November 8th 2005, 11:29 PM

I agree Arisu. You ARE incredible.
You drew Ariel so nicely.
I particularly love how the clothes came out. The spider webs in the white with the spider on the front is just too neat.
I also love how her hair came out too, oh and her ears. Oh how I adore her ears.
The eyes, well they are simply lovely, so focused. Her whole expression is.
Above all though, I love the dragons. You are a dragon genius, I already know it just from this picture and the one further up.
I love these dragons because they are so sleek and beautiful. Not only that, but they are that nice purple color, the same as her dress. I love it so much.
Very nice job on this one.

Kia @ Thursday, November 17th 2005, 8:45 AM
Aw. He is just adorable!
First off, typically, I am not a blue person though recently I find myself enjoying it more, and using it more. So I find myself liking the choice of colors quite a bit in this picture.
I really have to say how much I love his hair. I love hair that kind of just sticks up all over the place, but the person still has bangs. I have a thing for bangs.
Not only that, I really admire the way you highlight the hair, and shade it as well. It's very nice.
I also love his clothing. I love the way loose fitting clothing looks, because I love folds to death. So I love the folds coming down from his waist despite the slight shake of the linart.
I love the coloring on his read sleeve, and the jewls on his chest. I always love to see red jewels on characters, they are simply nice, if shades and highlighted correctly.
The lolly pop looks simply delicious, haha, it is making my hungry. Makes me think of these..er.. vanilla strawberry things my mom used to give me. I dont remember what they were called. They were good though. Anyway.
Above all I think I love his hands the most. I adore them. They are so small and cute.

DinKelion @ Saturday, December 3rd 2005, 5:55 PM
It makes me wonder if he is edible with all that sweet blueness... Reminds me of blue cotton Candy... hm... Blueness tis be good >3 Especially the eyes... yes.

Drawing/writing of expressing your feelings about your beloved cat will make you heal just a little faster. Annie Felis @ Sunday, February 12th 2006, 7:27 PM
There, now I'm done. Refresh the image if you can't see the completed version. Sorry if it took me a whole week to do this. I've been trying to force myself to draw, and the result is me working on things for only a few minutes at a time. Honestly, that's better than not drawing at all.

Anyway, as if you couldn't tell by the typo'd title, it's a Succubus. Not all Succubi are wings and horns, though. I imagine there can be a large variety.

Tigerhawk @ Monday, February 13th 2006, 8:17 PM
Love the colors on her wings, very soft and appealing to the eyes. Having the soft pastel color green in the background also brings her out and I say it's an awesome touch. over all I think you did an awesome job.

[View Animation]
windblade @ Sunday, February 12th 2006, 12:54 AM
The sanyi are a race of cool-blooded, purple-skinned aliens which prides themselves in their cloning technology and powerful, well-disciplined conquering fleet. They truly believe in gender equality, and in fact, don't understand why males and females should be considered different in ANY aspect, appart from the obvious physical ones. Maybe as a result from their cloning computers, there's no such thing as homo- or heterosexuality in their society. Females still give birth, but all children, natural or cloned, are raised by caretakers (their reasonning being that these people are much more qualified for taking care of children than just any random girl who forgot to use contraceptives).

As with all races, the sanyi have their flaws. They are completely dependant on their technology. Every sanyi has implants, and every sanyi who has gained more than one rank in any job has a powerful personnal computer to assist him in his tasks.

The sanyi are ruled by a group of special individuals called the Conclave. There are three known circles in this organisation (lower conclave, middle conclave and high conclave), but it is rumored that some secret circles exist. The individuals forming this strange, mysterious government are, it is said, specially bred and trained for this purpose.

Personality disorders are rare in the sanyi society, and anything unusual is treated with mood-altering drugs as soon as discovered. Despite this, once in a while comes a very disturbed individual. The last one was a young soldier by the name of Jadiel who was affected by Malika syndrome, a rare and under-studied disorder. He rose to the rank of general before something in him broke and he brought nearly half of his nation in a revolution against the Conclave. Fortunately, his attempt was stopped and the general was sent in a cryogenic prison for a hundred years. Since he still had a great influence on the people at the time of his capture, this was thought to be better than execution or exile. He would not be turned into a martyr, and he would not be able to build up a new army to come back later. All of Jadiel's clones were destroyed, since it was possible that they would be subject to the same illness.

This lady here has the rank of Wing in the army. The colors and design of her armour inform others about her squad (redbrass-114), the shoulders and the patches on her waist indicate her rank (Wing is two ranks higher than sergeant) and the bands and dots on her thigh indicate her marital status (passively looking for companion). The strange "wings" on her helmet hold her delicate, sensitive "ear-frills", which, appart from their hearing function, act a bit like a cat's whiskers. Despite her juvenile appearance, she is a mature female who would be in her late twenties, had she been human.

And I think I wrote too much.

Sumi @ Sunday, February 12th 2006, 1:59 AM
It's the windy! <3 I never get tired of seeing your style pop up.
The society reminds me of the book The Giver with the "mood-altering drugs" and such. Very out of the box - I like it. =3
I love the light reflection on her helmet, and the impossible happened. I to believe your shading has gotten even more delicious, especially the bigger components around her lower leg.... I wonder what she's thinking. She's so accomplished, yet she doesn't seem to be happy.

I really like your story about the race. I like it just as much as the picture, honestly. This is really well-done, I like the design of her armor and uniform, and the shiny coloring on the metal.

Starlitdragon @ Sunday, February 12th 2006, 9:54 PM
I really like those shoes. And the way your colour metallic objects- they look so deliciously lickable. The colour combination you used is quite attractive as well.

The race idea sounded interesting- it reminded me a bit of 'A Brave World', where humans are raised and surpressed chemically as an experiment.

freakymary @ Monday, February 13th 2006, 2:15 AM
wow windblade, you have gotten amazing since i last seen you 0_0 the detail, i love the shinning on the armpr. and the area with the mask, you can barly see her purple skin is just catching my attention. exellent work :) love the story/world description also!

Arisu @ Monday, February 13th 2006, 7:13 PM
I love the amazing attention to detail you put into everything. There are so many little things in this like how the colors reflect on eachother. You could really stare at this for a long time and not catch everything, I'm sure.

Jennifer, The Blue Narian @ Thursday, February 16th 2006, 2:28 AM
You always have such a great imagination and wonderfully thought out way of creating characters, races, and entire worlds.

I dock my hat to a better writer as well as artist then myself.

windblade @ Thursday, February 16th 2006, 8:25 AM
Thanks, peoples...

Jenners, you have it wrong. I'm not that good of a writer, I just have too much imagination. I pretty much suck at telling stories, believe me! =p

Pooky @ Thursday, February 16th 2006, 5:23 PM
Wow. That's awesome!
I love the design a lot. It's all curvy and soft... =3
Your coloring is totally wonderful. The highlights are pretty nice, and the colors you chose are cool too. I just love it!

olsie @ Thursday, February 16th 2006, 6:35 PM

Hello there stranger! =D Nice to see your art again. I love the simple black and whites, but I missed your colours as much as your lineart. =x Nice flow, especially in her hair and the positioning of her outstretched arm.

mark @ Thursday, March 30th 2006, 5:43 PM

Okay. My computer's motherboarad fried due to USB malfunction and a nasty spark =(
But anyway, this is a Jagonrundi, a vermin-type native to a different planet, and a Meercoon, a raccoon-meerkat hybrid that was genetically created to be the new ferret (in this short story, ferrets and other species were wiped out by a combination of war and disease). Space travellers brought Meercoons with them to this new planet and the Jagonrundi stowed away like winged tarantulas on freight ships.
It was a fun story, I should redo it now that I'm not a little kid =P

Looks like it could turn out to be interesting, 'specially with the lower one's tail.

mark @ Saturday, April 15th 2006, 12:48 PM
whoa it is finally finished!!! XD
very very nice textures especially on the fur! I also like the subtle gradiation from green to the orange-brown ^ ^

Arisu @ Wednesday, April 19th 2006, 8:28 PM
wow, nice solid coloring! I love all the fur texturing. That must've taken forever and a day. Love the way you blended the green and brown on the big guy. And that little guy is adorable. :o!
