Drowkaki was finally upgraded to Poteto 5.1 then to Wax Poteto. A much needed upgrade after so many years without change and with all these bugs plaguing us. We had to trash our custom MODS but it seem that wax poteto include some of the stuff we had. Avatar(go in your profile) and picture uploading. It also come with some new features as well. The most important one is to be able to re-touch everything, including SHI-PAINTER pictures , non animated oekaki and uploaded stuff. I'm sorry we didn't do this upgrade sooner. Now the board is pretty much lifeless, but i hope now that approving new accountsl became optional, that some life will return around here on this fantasy-only oekaki board.

Wah! A much much much better picture of JT and Cora! Yay! I spent all day working on this picture... playing with pretty lighting and new colors for shading and such. I am rather fond of how it turned out... please comment and critique. I really am trying to improve.

Jennifer @ Sunday, January 30th 2005, 11:58 AM
This picture is so sweet and touching. I really like this, it's romantic. Your characters are very good-looking and have a sense of realism. The hero has such a tender expression. It's as if he's thinking that everything will be alright as long as she is with him. Your heroine has a more serious expression, like she is trying to figure out what happened and what they will do next. After seeing this picture, I would like to see more of their story. Great work.

catboi incubus mishi @ Sunday, January 30th 2005, 4:25 PM
What a sweet couple. (: I love their expressions, the woman with a sad, pondering one.. I almost feel as though they're sitting before a fire, just the way that they're snuggling. I love the man's look, gazing at her with love, probably, and wonder at what will happen to them. The sexy, open shirt can't help but make me think of romance novels. XD;; Wonderful image! :D

Shakaku @ Sunday, January 30th 2005, 6:48 PM
This is wonderfully done! Awesome colors, and romantic blue shading! Proportions and textures! All very much making me go WOW! Great!

i believe Jennifer pointed out what i wished to say. Other things I wish to point out-I really like the coloring on JT's (?) shirt and the detail in Cora's (?) hair. Detail in general is really good.

I love that you decided to experiment with new colors for shading and what not, art really is an ever-improving process.
This is beautiful. I love the emotion you caprtured, just by their poses and holding hands~ The softness of the shading is wonderful. I really really like his shirt super lots.

Starisan @ Monday, February 7th 2005, 3:15 PM
you have wonderful realism here, the lighting is fantastic as a soft glow. I love her face!

Queen_Godzilla @ Saturday, March 5th 2005, 12:19 AM
A lot better, yes. Definitely. It has a good composition, good coloration, proportions, etc.

If I tilt my head the direction each of their heads is facing, I can see little facial details that have gone out of line. Mostly it's just one eye on each of them. No big deal. And the rest of their anatomies are perfect as far as I cna see.

Other than that -- I don't see much shadows in here. I know one source is blue light and it's from behind them, and I know one source is yellow/bone nad coming from the right, but... I think sometimes you're using blue shadows and that throws me off as to whether it's a highlight or shadow. Tisk, tisk.

All done. (:

Ack! Idea stealer! Aah! Well damn. Ah, well... beautiful BEAUTIFUL picture. I was so rooting for Christine to end up with the Phantom... why does the prettyboy always have to win, eh? So anyways, I love the muted shading, it's so very appropriate and the candles in the background are fantastic. They really fit the theme too, it's just the perfect background with enough detail to make it purdy. *sigh* So tender... grr. *mumblemumbleprettyboysgetalltheluckmumble*

Sumi @ Saturday, January 29th 2005, 11:09 PM
The movie looks really good, but I haven't seen it yet. ~_~ Goin' to see it in NY this spring. Very nice candlelight and you did a great job with their hands. I really love the frilly edges on Christine's? dress and the detail you did around the Phantom's neckline. =3

*worships Mishi*
Saw this movie last week and I still can't get some of the songs out of my head.
I have been waiting to see your finished picture from the moment I saw your lineart yesterday afternoon. I knew it would be beautiful then and it is even better than I expected. The Phantom's tender embrace of Christine is so very sweet, yet possessive at the same time.
I like the Phantom and Christine pairing, but I also like the coupling of Raoul and Christine. Both have different outcomes in Christine's life.
Love. Love. Love your picture, Mishi.

christabel @ Sunday, January 30th 2005, 9:38 PM
Uwah! That's so loverly! *bouncebouncebounce* I totally adore the blurry candles in zer background-- and zer posing = excellent! o.o They both look so wistful. His face is especially wonderful.

I wish I would've seen the movie before commenting, but since you insisted so much...

Anyway, very romantic. It's nice to see how close to each other the characters are in the pic. ^w^ (I dunno if they're as close in the movie... hmmm...) and the outfits are very nicely drawn too. ^w^ But what I like the most is the candles in the background! You did such a great lighting job on them! It's incredible! ^w^

I hope you're happy now that I commented. XD

Prismatic @ Friday, February 4th 2005, 6:59 PM
Oh! I've really been wanting to see that movie too. This is really nice. The candles.. .wow! I really like how you blurred the background in that way, it makes it seem like this piece was a photograph, and the focus was on those in the foreground.
They look really good together. I like all the pretty details in their clothing.~

I adulted this because I really don't like the way it looks right now, I deleted the other picture because I lost my concept and forgot to put in the background early and for some reason when I save, the layers automatically combine so I can't go back behind something. I'm gonna see if I can save this one though...

catboi incubus mishi @ Friday, January 28th 2005, 3:38 PM
I don't understand why it automatically merges the layers when you submit, that's never happened to me before. o __o; This image kind of scares me, just a bit. xD;; Reminds me of Grandmother Willow in Pocahontas.

darkrose @ Friday, January 28th 2005, 8:23 PM
yay, tree spirits. Lovely job texturing here, I love the colors in the bark. It looks like real watercolor. Her face is sort of backlit, which is even more awesome, and it really shows the moonlight. The lighting on this is seriously just perfect... the features kind of stick out a bit because they're so much in contrast in style with the rest of the piece, it might have been good to make them watercolor instead of pencil, but this is still fantastic.

I really like the opposing color pallet. The cool colors look great against the fire. I love her eyes too because the purple incorporates both the red back and the blue front. Your shading is sublte and very well done. Talented Crou! I really like her lips too.

catboi incubus mishi @ Friday, January 28th 2005, 3:36 PM
Wow, the colors are rather bright. *__*; I just love her eyes and skintone, but her hair seems very sloppy, I don't much like the jumble of black on the right. Also, did you forget to shade her collar? It's so cute, by the way, with its little acorn. ^^

darkrose @ Friday, January 28th 2005, 8:21 PM
wow, bright. Interesting colors, I don't know if I would have ever thought to pair green skin with purple eyes with blue hair and neon lips... especially with that bright background it's so very cool and colorful. Wonderful job.

Crest @ Friday, January 28th 2005, 10:09 PM
Those are some bright colors. XD Love the skin tone and the way you colored the hair. The hair to me really stands out. And I adore those lips...yummy looking lips. I hope it's girl or else I may feel sick in the morning for saying that. XD Love the nose. :D

Jennifer @ Saturday, January 29th 2005, 7:25 PM
She's very pretty. I love her big, expressive eyes and that slightly shocked expression. It's like she was caught off-guard. I like what you did with her hair. The scribbly black lines give her hair a messy, damp look.

Ichumi @ Monday, January 31st 2005, 4:28 AM

Kwetha @ Wednesday, February 2nd 2005, 9:15 PM
Ooh! Shiney picture! I *love* the eyes. I want to steal them, and then I'd claim that I'd drawn them, and be egotistical. This is a really nice piece, in other words. Uhm, but there's a kinda lack of shading in her collar - was that intentional or did you forget? Also, there's some colour bleeding...it'd be nice if it was cleaned up a bit, because this is a really nice picture and it just detracts a bit. But the eyes, the eyes!

Queen_Godzilla @ Friday, March 4th 2005, 11:49 PM
Acorn, eh? I like her name.

The first thing I noticed, and the thing that made me want to comment, was her coloration. We don't get a lot of green-skinned, blue-haired girls around here. This is what really set her off from the rest of the pictures.

The second thing that made me want to comment was her face. Her wide, googly eyes and her pouty lips -- oh yes. Very good. There aren't any eyebrows that I can see, but I don't care. XD Her expression is one that kind of looks vacantly shocked. Like she's seeing something that looks weird and she doesn't know what it is.

The only thing I'd watch out is how ears connect to the head. The bottom of the ear is level with the bottom of the nose, and the top of the ear is level with the eyebrow. It doesn't really work on anime that well (I can attest to that) but... yeah. XD; Her ear is just kind of strangely connect to her head, like it's sticking out of her cheek -- all you'd need to do is add a line from her jaw to her ear ridge there. Or something like it. I dunno XD;

Desert witch? Really cool idea! ^v^

Ichumi @ Monday, January 31st 2005, 4:35 AM
Such clean lines, and the background looks great. ^^ Love her jewellery.

Queen_Godzilla @ Friday, March 4th 2005, 10:56 PM
My opinion? WAY TOO MUCH LIKE JASMINE! Shake it up a little -- give her a sari (it's a hindu garment) or, like, tulle sleeves or some giant earring hoops, or some head jewels, make her hair into pigtails or an afro, or just make it short hair. SOMETHING to make it more different from Jasmine. I mean, honestly. I know you're trying to go for middle eastern, but there are SO MANY more references than just Jasmine.

Other than that...

Proportions are off-kilter. Her ribcage needs to be wider, as wide as her hips. And her arms/shoulders are also disproportionate and skewed. From the neck to the shoulder there's a slanting muscle, and it kinda makes the neck/head/collarbone area look like the shape of a coat hanger. Keep that in mind. As for her arms, slightly lumpish. Start wide at the top of each joint and slim down to the next; also make sure that the forearm and arm are the same length.

As for the design part of the piece -- waaaaay too much wasted space. You could have done a lot more with the background. Seriously.

And lastly, the highlights and shadows. You merely put shadow on one side and highlight on the other. What that did was made her look embossed rather than three dimensional. Bas relief versus sculpture. You need to think of where the light hits and adjust the light/shadow accordingly. It's hard at first, but you'll get it soon enough.

Pick a spot the light is coming from and post an arrow showing its direction. Then, using that arrow as a guide, decide where the light would hit it. Where the light WOULDN'T hit would be where you put the shadows. Depending on how much light is reaching one place, you adjust the darkness and lightness of the shadow or highlight accordingly. Voila.

The title has nothing to do with the picture. Just something that makes me laugh and remember my \"younger days\"...Bite me...is also irrelevant.

Here, read a poem while you wait. It\'s for \"The Verge\" at my school. Literary mag thingy.

When the Rain cries,
and the River bleeds,
Call to me,
the Stigmata of Dreams.

I found stigmata in a dictionary. I like it. And when looking at everyone else\'s art, KHatch uses it too. So I didn\'t snitch it off of her. Stig-MATA...matamatamata
so here is the finished product! Wasn't what I intended but still good. I used thick lines instead of my usual scribbly ones. Yes, this is the same guy I drew before with the feathers and stuff. If you notice the tips of his hair isn't gold. I don't think I'll make them gold anymore for drawing and writting (describing) purposes. Any comments, questions, things you can't stuff in your head?

very angsty... I like it a lot. I really like the black on the wings, they're just shaded perfectly. The red outline with the bits of blue calls to mind some kind of dark, bloody fire, excellent color choice there. Good job.

Ashi @ Monday, January 24th 2005, 3:08 AM
I love how you outlined the entire image in red. It really comes through for the concept you are trying to evoke from the illustration.

KHatch @ Monday, January 24th 2005, 6:19 AM
Oh god it reminds me of Salad Fingers too...that's just not a memory I want to have! *shiver* Yet something about those makes me watch each one as it comes out...
The colour is just lovely, so dark and yet not. The blues give me an electric feeling. I love the wings!

Chime @ Monday, January 24th 2005, 2:33 PM

^___^;;; Ehehhh....

The wings are the best, I think. Nicely colored. The rest of the picture is simple, yet foreboding.

The words are very.....suggestive, ne? <_____< Creepy.

Are you okay? Or is this just a ..... normal...picture...???

Nice...If scary...

Shakaku @ Monday, January 24th 2005, 8:57 PM
I love your use of bold smooth lines and the red and blues together, but the background is not as 'thick' or 'clean' feelign as the rest of it. rather than that, it's a great picture.

This is Nera, the alien woman who is the cook on the vessel of the notorious Captain Pierrot, the swave, dashing, cyborg pirate. She's one of my favorite characters I've created for a RP - she's from a pirate RP Windy and I are doing. Nera is awesome, she's a no-nonsense, sexy gypsy alien. She treats her captain with little to no respect, but loves Dai and does whatever he asks. It's so cute. <3333

Ahem. Like everyone else, the hair is fabulous ^o^ In my opinion, it looks especially good with that outfit. Is it like, a classical pirate-wench thingummy? Lol.....

Beautiful coloring on her and her clothing. I love that knife's coloring especially. And, gasp!, its the return of the ribbon-stremer background >3

Ohm, art is never crappy. I believe that it is a good way to let things ou and that it does reflect life a lot. I am always glad that others are willing to share their art and if you are feeling bad that is how you're feeling, don't deny yourself. I hope you feel better. This portrait definately gets a feeling of sad lonelyness across. Take care!

I love the facr O_O The coloring on it, its great!
The hands too, like everyone says, are so detailed, and the shrt-coloring is awesome. Seriously, this is a great piece. The wings though slightly messy, arent so bad. If they were a bit more like feathery, Itd be awesome-er. Lol

I really hope youre goping to be okay ;___; Its so depressing to have a member go through a bad time.

Take care.

Ah, I know how exactly how s/he feels.

The line art I see came out very clean (something I'll never be able to achieve). i do believe that the lines for the hair came out very nicely. i do agree, the wings do look like a last minute job but they give me a feel of childness from this character. I'd love to explain, but I doubt people like reading what I write (I go on and on). Maybe laters. But I would like to point out that some children have a sense of insecurity and that's what those wings give me a feeling of. insecurity.
The coloring is da bomb my friend. It's just too cool. the seperation of words for "alone" is a great way to use....what do you call those thingies........I'll get back to you on that.

My character Cray which I've drawn here before and her character Meino. Both are in a RPG together and it looks like the two are going to be hooking up.

Not a fan of pink, but it's the color of the holiday that suits the drawing. Red just didn't really look good. Blah at the pink.

P.S. yeah definitely my first time ever drawing wings, so they look like crud

ChronosKit @ Saturday, January 22nd 2005, 3:01 AM
Her head fits perfectly, it just looks to me like her neck is a little too big. I love the wings, and the proportions dont seem to be that much off. Good job ^.^

darkrose @ Saturday, January 22nd 2005, 4:49 AM
I love the wings too, and her eyes are beautiful. OK, yeah, I can see now that her head is a tad too big for how you've got the rest of the body, although I think if you had scooted her neck up a bit more under her chin and made her breasts a little bigger (larger chest) then this would be perfect. Other than that you've got beautiful colors and lovely shading and the playing of color on the frames is very whimsical, I like it muchly. Overall you did a really good job.

Tigerhawk @ Saturday, January 22nd 2005, 6:14 AM

Her head seems only slightly too big, and I think it may be because of the big, well, bump of hair on the back of her head. She's a very pretty fairy nonetheless. :) I really like the eye makeup, it's something you often see in fantasy art. x) She reminds me of a friend of mine, but as a fairy. Great job!

Anyways. This would look so much better if the coloring was slightly neater. I see many places where it bleeds through the lineart. The lineart itself? Its great, simple, not so choppy, more-or-less neat. The skin-tones are fabulous.

I suggest, for the gem (that is a gem, right?) on her forehead, you add a bit of shine to make it stand out. The earring too. Otherwise, the picture is awesome, and nice eyes ^^

KHatch @ Tuesday, January 25th 2005, 6:08 AM

What I Like: In general, the coloring pleases me. And although the linework isn't my best, Im satisfied.

What i dont Like: I went over-board with the shirt-wrinkling >D Hahah. And I got a "background-block" so I just painted a bunch of clouds on the wall ^^

And no, the "boobie" was not intentional, its just the position. If you look REALLY hard, you can see the upper curve of the other "boobie"

This is really quite good, especially her arm, I think. The shading on that and the shape are quite pleasing. She appears to only have one breast through, something there looks not quite right. Is this done or not? It looks like it's done, but the comment at the beginning seems to suggest otherwise. Either way, it's a good start and there are definitely things I like.

This is my favorite of yours! The eyes are very well detailed. You have excelent tear duct things and the ridges over the eyes and ....its so pretty! The nose is also done quite well for a mouse. (KUDOS) THough it seems like the nose should be shifted to *my* left. Just a little. I suggest using the copy button. IT works wonders. the mouth may also have to shift a little so that it corasponds. And that mouth. XD I love it! The skin tones are almost done it looks like. (unless you are going for a more extreme color variation in the shading and highlights) And the bg. Its simple but when this pic is finnished i think it will complement nicely to your figure. I love the use of cool tones. Though with this FREEZING weather my love may change. LOL. Also on the head and back part of the head you did a nice correction. Now all you have to do is clean up those lines and make him/ her PRETTY. What color have you chosen for the eye color? FINNSIH SOON!

NOW FOR A BRIEF COMMENT TO THE OTHER DROWTALES MEMBERS! Starisan is my friend from college and i invited her to the drowtales board 'cause of the friendly atmosphere. PLEASE do not make me regret it. Before the worm we were all trying to have everyone comment more and be helpful. Which means actual critiquing. Not stating the obvious.

Kari Maxwell @ Wednesday, January 19th 2005, 6:21 PM
It looks nice so far. I have to agree about the nose though. It should be shifted a little by the way you have the shadows. It looks reallt nice though.

Starisan @ Wednesday, January 19th 2005, 8:50 PM
Thanks for the comments so far. You're right it's not done yet but I just wanted to try something new. I appreciate all the comments and critiques because I am always looking to improve. Thanks so much Crou for being helpful and for suggesting I join this board. I understand that there are certain expectations and I am truly trying to do my best to follow them especially since I made some mistakes at the beginning. I understand that sometimes my work can be sloppy and it is something that I am trying to improve on. I must say that I am happy to be able to see so many different concepts and styles of art because I love art and if there something that I love as much as doing it, it is looking at other peoples. Thanks so much Crou and I hope to finish this soon. And thanks to everyone else who has left me comments.

celestial crou @ Thursday, January 20th 2005, 6:17 AM
Starisan- hello again *HUGS* your doing GREAT for a beginner. Everyone messes up the first few times. But the amount of comments lacking on pictures...makes me sad. Expecially sence you have commented on everyones. Giving them valuable input. It annoys me that they dont show that same consideration to you. This is what squee ment. This pic DESERVES many comments. Its looking beutiful.

darkrose @ Thursday, January 20th 2005, 8:52 PM
Wow, great start! I love the eyes, and the nose is VERY well done, although it appears to be tilted a little too far, as in the angle isn't quite right. He's looking more towards the camera than that. Other than that, the proportions so far are AMAZING, truly beautiful. His head is just the right shape and size, the eyebrows are more like real eyebrows, thick and slightly differently shaped, his ears are the right place on his head and the angles match on both sides. His neck is just beautiful, keep going! This is going to be totally great!

Kaiera @ Thursday, January 20th 2005, 10:13 PM
ow wow! realistic-ish looking...wonderful. I think my favorite part so far is the nose ^_^ not sure why, but I love realistic-looking noses. Of course the eyes and lips look wonderful too :D I hope you finish it soon!

KHatch @ Thursday, January 20th 2005, 10:37 PM
This will be very nice if you finish it. The skin is well shaded so far, but you need a lot of highlighing still. Unless you're going for a gentle light setting, then well it's pretty good like it is, just a few more shadows here and there.
I'm liking the green eyebrows. Can't wait to see this done!

Starisan @ Saturday, January 22nd 2005, 6:04 PM
I am sorry this is taking soo long to finish, it will be soon!

Starisan @ Sunday, January 23rd 2005, 11:08 PM
I gonna work on it this week, I can't on weekends since my computer doesn't save the changes I make at home.

Chime @ Monday, January 24th 2005, 2:06 PM
Even though its not finished, Im gonna comment.

The anatomy itself is wunner-ful ^^ Especially the eyes - theyre so realistic. I love the shading thats on the neck and shoulder.

But Im always drawn to that background. Perhaps its because the finer details of the Elf havent been added on. Its so....cerulean >3 I have no wordds to describe it.....

PLEASE finish ;_;

Starisan @ Monday, January 24th 2005, 5:00 PM
sigh...getting further, still not done cause the skins looking a lik\ttle dirty and ears and other things unfinished. Needed to add more though, this is so much fun.

Starisan @ Tuesday, January 25th 2005, 2:43 PM
okay, I think I'm done...but if you see anything that needs fixing let me know! Otherwise I'm pretty happy with this experiment and I'm gonna start a new one yeah! This is soo much fun! Thank you everyone who gave me comments and suggestions!

Queen_Godzilla @ Friday, March 4th 2005, 8:17 PM
Hm. The facial structure is pretty well done. The eyes are the only thing slightly off kilter (just one, really, and that's only if you really, really look.)

And now we get to the real issue at hand, the one that is the biggest impedance to the picture: the highlights and shadows.

Everything has highlights and shadows. It's a fundamental lesson in illustration. How they are applied makes or breaks a picture.

In your picture, the most I see is shadows. Her skin, even in faint light, should have a highlight, because if there's enough light to cause shadow there is enough light to cause a highlight. And considering how I can see your shadows, but none of your highlights (save the extra sheen on the elf's eyes and lips) you probably need to work on this.

Let's also discuss the shadow placement. The light seems to be coming from the left. At least, it seems so. Either that or the top left. Placement of a light source is equally important, you know. Having light and shadow just randomly everywhere isn't exactly the way things are done. So... just pick a light source someday. It makes things better, trust me. Takes a while to get used to, but it does look awesome when it's done.

I'd want to address your smudging, but I won't. It's really hard to blend stuff in OekakiBBS.

Hoorah for being new here. I'm hoping that I saved the image the right way. She's my charicature of sorts, name of Kayen, and she is *completely* out of character herself. Normally, she'd be holding a staff/scythe combo and be in tribal wear. Not snowboarding gear. That's *my* forte.

Adult 'cause I'm not done.

Any ideas for clothes and background are entirely welcome, 'cause I suck at both.

Tigerhawk @ Wednesday, January 19th 2005, 5:40 AM
For clothing I'd give her one of those fur collared jackets and thick pants (how vage can I get?). Background I'd go for a snowy mountain on fire.....and people running all over the place.....I really don't know... I do...I....have issues on saying I don't....ya. Hope that helps a bit ^^;;;

Not done yet, this one is going to be NICE in watercolour...
Argpoodle is rehabilitating, and it seems that 'Rena hs better things to do than babysitting an injured gnome.
Ah, but does Argpoodle feel more for the drow than he lets on?
Find out next week on Guiding Light!
No not really. But this IS what apears to be happening in the game...she's becoming mroe independent, and he's becoming more...sad...
Who knows.

aww... poor hat! That's so sweet, though. Argpoodle seems like such a child, really... it must be a hoot playing this game of yours! And another wonderful comic from the mind of the gamer...

Starisan @ Wednesday, January 19th 2005, 8:57 PM
I think that every time I read one of your comics I can't help but mention how great the animation is. Aewee, I feel sorry for him and his nightmare. Your characters are so well developed.

Kage Kitsune @ Thursday, January 20th 2005, 1:28 AM
aww poor argpoodle!! I feel sorry for him! ::comforts:: dreaming he'd lost his hat. The coloring isn't as good on here as it was on your other ones but it's still good. I like his tears best of all.

Chime @ Thursday, January 20th 2005, 3:44 PM
Oh my Gawd, ahhaha,. >D Its so funny

Though the coloring in this one is slightly lesser quality than the previous "comics" , the humor takes the eye away from it ^^

Awwww Poor Argpoodle. God I love him. I especially love the last box, where hes snuggling his hat. He is just soooo adorable. The backround in the second box also rocks! -admires-

darkrose @ Sunday, January 16th 2005, 7:17 PM
wow, I really REALLY love the colors here (even if they're not done...?) It's simple and lovely and the earthy tones are warm and comfortable. Unfortunately I don't quite get "suffering" from this picture (at least not yet), it's so peaceful and calm and the colors really draw you in and make you feel, well, comfortable. Just beautiful composition, I love the wings and the expression and the messy hair, it just flows together so perfectly. Great job...

Starisan @ Sunday, January 16th 2005, 8:37 PM
I really like the start, it is a very serene picture and it's very beautiful too. I really like the headband and the other jewelry. Acutually I like the color scheme too, even if you left it this way. Great wings with a lot of detail.

Basil @ Monday, January 17th 2005, 3:29 AM
Gorgeous, as always Mishi. It's impossible to mistake your style. Remember, we Drowkakians love you. <3

KHatch @ Monday, January 17th 2005, 6:48 AM
I could see the suffering. It wasn't so much as a really bad type but as an inner turmoil type.
But this is lovely anyway. The subtle shading and the simple background just add up to be another unmistakeably Mishi work. I love the hair.
*hugs Claire* HUGGIES YAY

Kage Kitsune @ Monday, January 17th 2005, 1:49 PM
I love your sepia toning ^_^ it makes it feel warm...and I agree with KHatch, I could see the suffering as an inner turmoil kinda thing. I love his headpants and his hair ::pets it:: Very good mishi!

Another awesome drawing by Mishi. I loves the colors, brown's rock. The wings are probably my favorite part, of coarse you always do awesome on wings. you do awesomes on everything you draw in my opinion

Chime @ Monday, January 24th 2005, 2:02 PM
Another Mishi Masterpiece >3(Im gonna call all your pictures that from now on >D)

As always, your quick, sketchy style is pleasing. he facial anatomy is great, realistic while at the same time its not. Also, the collar bones are nicely done.
Beautiful coloring - I especially like the background, with all the streamer-like bands floating there.
beautiful, Mishi!

Isile's undershirt is like some nasty clingy stuff. It's just a buffer between her outer leathers and her skin. So yeah her cleavage is showing, though I gave her a lot more than she's supposed to have, since Heidi says she's a scrawny stick of a half-elf. Well, so anyway...
This is from Friday night's game. Argpoodle retird for a bit while healing and we got two new guys as replacements.
It still didn't go well. The curse of Argpoodle shall kill us all.
And yes, Indigo's supposed to have some sort of runic halo. He's from some race called "illumians." And his accent is that of Inigo Montoya from The Princess Bride. XD

I noticed something, Khatch - in the bottom, leftmost frame, you gave Isile'leo, I think, cleavage, when the top of the shirt is closed, so shouldn't there not be cleavage? o __o

darkrose @ Monday, January 17th 2005, 6:10 AM
I dunno. I've seen cleavage on a closed shirt before... depends on the type of cloth, which we can't tell yet because there're no shading. Another wonderful and hilarious piece, khatch. Had me laughing for a good three minutes and confused the heck outta my mother.

Chime @ Monday, January 24th 2005, 1:59 PM
Oh, hilarious.
First off the bat - i have to commend you on those backgrounds. Theyre so simple, but eye-catching. I love the wood-work you did on those doors. They actually look as if theyre made of wood, not just brown-colored stuff.

The orc/goblin Is nicely done - especially in the before-last panel ^^
The basic coloring in the whole piece is fabulous - simple, but not so simple that it looks out-of-place.

Shakaku @ Monday, January 24th 2005, 9:09 PM

wow pretty! I so love your artwork.. the shading is so lovely and the hair is so perfect and hair like, with the little whispy bits. Their expressions are cute, too. Can't quite understand why they're hugging each other, didnt' think they had that close of a relationship based on your previous comics. Beautiful picture, though, and really shows the closeness they have, but more frienship than love I'd think (just based on their expressions).

Verna_Venisa @ Friday, January 14th 2005, 10:43 PM

Starisan @ Saturday, January 15th 2005, 4:31 AM
awww, that's very sweet although I wonder what is being plotted...to the drawing. I love the contrast between the hair and the dark face and the shadows and highlights are beautiful. I find the eyes interesting (one green and one blue) is it so in real life? The ears look great by the way and so do the teeth, not too much detail but just enough ( I wish I knew how to do that). Great hair too, heh, I like so much of this...Wow, wonderfully rich color on the purple shirt, it feels velvety. The only thing that I am unsure about is how you portrayed the ear showing through the hair but I don't know what suggestion that I would give...maybe make it more sublte..? Like the Background too, yea!

Kage Kitsune @ Saturday, January 15th 2005, 10:52 PM
This is so cute!!!! Rena does look kind of nervouse but I don't think Argpoodle looks that mischeviouse he has more of that "I'm so cute, drow can't even resist meh!" *giggles* I love that sky KHatch it's just so beautiful! I like the see through hair effect tis veddy veddy kewlness!

Chime @ Monday, January 24th 2005, 1:52 PM
The over-all picture is fabulous - the facial expression of Lai'Rena, but Arpoogles' looks .... strange. He looks too old O_o

My favorite parts are the hair, and the background. The hair looks so soft, touchable even. And the bacground is life-like - Though it does seem they are standing in front of a pastel painting if I look too hard ^^;;;

Beautiful work, KHatch. Keep it up ^^

Queen_Godzilla @ Tuesday, March 1st 2005, 7:00 PM
Gah, you are getting BETTER and BETTER at digital painting, KHatch. Honestly.

I like how you colored most of the outlines in this one, instead of leaving them all black. It just works so much better, I think. I should start doing it myself. It just makes things more realistic in my eye, that line coloration.

And the texure in the actual coloration and values is really a nice touch. It really adds to the colored lines and makes it even more realistic. I especially love the smooth skin for some reason.

And, wow. Those are some HUGE smiles. I like the poses too. And HOLY HELL, how did you get the hair to fall so nicely? (And the clothes to wrinkle so well?)

Ah, I dunno. I just *REALLY* like this.
