DrowKaki

Drowkaki was finally upgraded to Poteto 5.1 then to Wax Poteto. A much needed upgrade after so many years without change and with all these bugs plaguing us. We had to trash our custom MODS but it seem that wax poteto include some of the stuff we had. Avatar(go in your profile) and picture uploading. It also come with some new features as well. The most important one is to be able to re-touch everything, including SHI-PAINTER pictures , non animated oekaki and uploaded stuff. I'm sorry we didn't do this upgrade sooner. Now the board is pretty much lifeless, but i hope now that approving new accountsl became optional, that some life will return around here on this fantasy-only oekaki board.

I had so much trouble with her legs that I decided to make her a Naga.
I think this is one of the best pictures I've ever done! I can't often say I love my own work...but this one! Hex yeah!
She's ducking to peer underneath something - and I feel like I'm a monster waiting to jump out at her. Can't wait to hear her scream...

Yeah...eons ago, when I was in middle school, I read a book called "Paper Magic" and it had a rat dragon in it (not at all like the one I drew here); I thought the concept was nifty. I don't recommend the book, though. It wasn't that good.

Okay, trying it a different way since the animation was no good on the other one.
The Head: Forehead = 1/3, Eyes & Nose = 1/3, Mouth & Chin = 1/3. Approximate proportions, vary depending on character, et cetera.

Now THAT is cute. Are those gills on the side of his neck? Nice colors - love the shiny hair! It's kinda iridescent, like fish scales (okay, something about this guy keeps reminding me of water...). That's an awesome eye, btw.

Anna- :D yeah, they're a kind of gill, but its not because his species lives underwater, its more like a back up that's silent so he doesn't have to mouth/nose breathe.. it's hard to explain :D.. and yeah, he's meant to remind you of water even though it isn't his natural habitat XD
And he isn't really my little brother, I just call him that... XD he is actually just a week younger than me

I took anatomy in High School (eons ago) and studied with nudes for about a semester in college, but most of what I learn comes from my personal collection of comic books (Marvel is awesome for studying bodies!), anatomy books, and observing the people around me (I even study my own body sometimes, to get the joints right).
Hm...didn't you ask me a while ago to draw some sketches/tutorials of male anatomy? That was quite a while ago, actually...but maybe I can still do a few for you. :3

So...Ruoko. Yeah. His 'contemplation' merits a bit of back story...
The red stone that he is holding is called a Key Stone. When it's set into a sentient creature, it opens a Gate (in the body of the host) between worlds and holds it open - thus playing the roles of both key and keystone. (Please note: being a Gate is extremely painful and dangerous.) You may have noticed (if you watched the animation) that Ruoko has a black Key Stone set in his left shoulder. Key Stones start out red (like blood) which is considered a pure color - but over time, the stones darken and eventually turn black, closing their Gates (and sometimes killing them).
Another little bit of explanation for the way Ruoko looks... "Demons" are born when an Elf commits an unforgivable sin. The Elf's hands are darkened, as well as his eyes and the tips of his ears. These marks are an outward sign of the Elf's guilt. That's also why Ruoko wears nothing but black... He's still mourning for the crime he committed.

Has anyone else noticed that all of her Drow dolls have white hair? You can't tell what Clan any of them are from because the dye is gone. I think that's an interesting detail...

Very nice use of colors, maybe the only one that is a bit out of place is the blue for the hair, but for the rest it's an amazing piece.
