Drowkaki was finally upgraded to Poteto 5.1 then to Wax Poteto. A much needed upgrade after so many years without change and with all these bugs plaguing us. We had to trash our custom MODS but it seem that wax poteto include some of the stuff we had. Avatar(go in your profile) and picture uploading. It also come with some new features as well. The most important one is to be able to re-touch everything, including SHI-PAINTER pictures , non animated oekaki and uploaded stuff. I'm sorry we didn't do this upgrade sooner. Now the board is pretty much lifeless, but i hope now that approving new accountsl became optional, that some life will return around here on this fantasy-only oekaki board.

Argagrgrarr. This was just taking too long for me to get done, so I kinda just forced myself to color it so I could move on with my life. XD
In fact, I kinda forced myself into the entire thing in the first place. I've just been in such a rut and haven't been able to get anything out. o_O; Buuuut here it is, in its entire forced glory.
I don't really like it that much, I'm just glad I was able to poop out a halphway decent background for once.
So, anyway, I'd like to thank all of you for the nice comments and suggestions. This'd probably never have been finished if I didn't have the motivation.
Meh, Well, that's about all.

Watching the animation - I notice that you seemed to be in a slight slump before settling upon this image. Personally I think this looks rather good so far ? simply because it is a rough of the line art before you begin on the actual refinement. Now that being said, I have to say that the perspective is a little off in the terms of the floor (it being a rather rough background, I believe you were planning to refine that to look better anyway). But overall I like the whole idea that you are planning with this image ? the facial expression is actually more pleasing to me than the other characters you were going through before settling on this idea. The ear we see seems to be a little odd, prospectively that is (on the left side of the canvas). Other than that wonderful work so far ? really can?t say anymore other than I hope you get to finish this!

I agree that the perspective with the floor and such might be a little off, but not by very much. With sketches it's a little hard to tell how the lineart's going to turn out, but one other thing I noticed is that his neck seems a little too small. Of course, I have no idea exactly where you were planning to put the lines, but it looks a little off.
Anyhow, I like the face so far ^-^ The ears are really well done

Finish finish!!!
Looks so cute!
The smiles perfect!

Wow, that lineart looks just fantastic... His face in particular is just beautifully done. Keep going! (I can never draw bar scenes... the floor, the table, the other patrons.. nothing's in the right place so I end up scrapping the project.)

ChronosKit @ Thursday, December 30th 2004, 11:17 PM
I like this ^.^ Its nice, but his right side((the left of the picture)) looks a little too skinny to me o.o; I dont know why...probly because of the width of his shoulders, I dunno... But I like the color(s) you used ^.^

He's adorable; I wish to hug him xD
I like the point of view so far; and obviously I can't wait until you complete the image :)

I really like the sepia tones! The wood floor looks so real! Nice and antique looking - including the costume designs. Awesome! ^^
To make the picture even BETTER, you could have continued on further to shading the characters and objects in the foreground with some more browns.

Seriously an excellent piece - keep it up!

such a cute smile! :D I love the shading on the floor so far, and the waitress is positioned perfectly. Finish!!

I really like the colour you used for this pic, it looks almost like a brown pencil crayon on brown art paper, XD! His expression looks good and his hair looks like it took some time! *__*!

Starisan @ Tuesday, January 4th 2005, 5:08 PM
heh, watching te animation was fun, this has a very good line quality going for it and I can't wait till you add more color. You did a good job with subtle lighting, I get the impression that there is and open door way ahead of them.

darkrose @ Wednesday, January 5th 2005, 5:43 AM
ooh, it's done! And it's gorgeous. Wonderful shading, especially on the arms of the barmaid in the back... just wow. Excellent details.

AnimeCanuck @ Thursday, January 6th 2005, 8:21 PM
Ooh wow! It's completed! I'm so glad you've shaded everything now... it's so lovely! And just the small amount of colour really adds to this picture. AMAZING AND A HALF!!!
