Drowkaki was finally upgraded to Poteto 5.1 then to Wax Poteto. A much needed upgrade after so many years without change and with all these bugs plaguing us. We had to trash our custom MODS but it seem that wax poteto include some of the stuff we had. Avatar(go in your profile) and picture uploading. It also come with some new features as well. The most important one is to be able to re-touch everything, including SHI-PAINTER pictures , non animated oekaki and uploaded stuff. I'm sorry we didn't do this upgrade sooner. Now the board is pretty much lifeless, but i hope now that approving new accountsl became optional, that some life will return around here on this fantasy-only oekaki board.

I haven't drawn anything for a while and I had nothing to do but I found that I had no idea what to draw. I thought and thought until finally, my friend IM'ed me and said "You just need to find your muse." and then the idea hit me, why not draw a muse?
A few things about this picture...
Its mouth looks like that for a reason, from the front, it's a heart so it looks a little funny from the side. Its earring is a questions mark but it got a little messed up.
I'm not very proud of this picture but I think that I'm getting better at drawing on the computer. ^_^

And also an exclamation point over her eye? Very interesting! I like the composition of it, it's very surreal. A really good job on this one, I hope you do more!

Rrrrr...I still can't quite get this drawing on the computer thing down but I guess that I just need practice. So here's a rough picture of some lady sleeping...

Arisu @ Friday, June 23rd 2006, 7:45 PM
It's okay. You're right- everything gets better with practice. If you haven't been drawing on the comp long then you are already -loads- better than i was. You're spending a good amount of time on your pictures so no worries.

What really helps is: Find a photo/good drawing you would like to copy, and do your best to draw exactly what's in that picture. It'll speed up the perfecting of your hand-eye-computer coordination.

So my last picture didn't show up for some unknown reason so I hope that this one does....
Anyway, this is now my second drawing that I have done on the computer and I think it's cute. It's not my style of drawing but I figured I should stick to simple things until I figure out how to use this.

i like the vacant look on her face

Hello, this is my first Oekaki ever!! It was a lot harder than I though it would be but I hope to improve over time. ^_^

Tamsin @ Tuesday, June 13th 2006, 10:40 PM
Wait a sec...this isn't my drawing!!!!!! What happened!?!?!?! I spent an hour or so drawing something and for some reason, the picture posted before mine showed up....what in the world?

tori_yuugi @ Wednesday, June 14th 2006, 2:37 PM

Arisu @ Saturday, June 17th 2006, 12:17 AM
Ouch.. poor Tamsin. I see this happen a lot but I've never seen it happen on -this- oekaki. I hope your real pic is recoverable! I've taken to snapping a screenshot before I send my images in. You never know when the internet's going to get hungry and eat something.

Jennifer, The Blue Narian @ Thursday, June 22nd 2006, 6:23 AM

I had this happen to me here the first three images I did. The administrators are good though and got things as straightened out as much as possible quickly. I'm sure they'll help you out too. But just in case, it is a good idea to screen capture or other wise save your work. That way if it is lost you can have a administrator upload it for you later.

dorothyblueeyes @ Thursday, October 5th 2006, 5:31 AM
Yow, sorry, I had that happen to me, once, too.But don't worry,I bet they can find them.Yes,just hit "copy" or "save image"onto your computer, and you'll save it.
