Drowkaki was finally upgraded to Poteto 5.1 then to Wax Poteto. A much needed upgrade after so many years without change and with all these bugs plaguing us. We had to trash our custom MODS but it seem that wax poteto include some of the stuff we had. Avatar(go in your profile) and picture uploading. It also come with some new features as well. The most important one is to be able to re-touch everything, including SHI-PAINTER pictures , non animated oekaki and uploaded stuff. I'm sorry we didn't do this upgrade sooner. Now the board is pretty much lifeless, but i hope now that approving new accountsl became optional, that some life will return around here on this fantasy-only oekaki board.

EDIT: Ok, I guess I needed to address a few things here.
1) This is a Hellsing fanchar of mine, though not a defining piece, it does technically fall into the fantasy category. I\'m sorry if you disagree.

2) Where in the rules does it forbid members to post more than once per day? I\'m sorry if I\'ve done wrong, but I read the rules and it wasn\'t mentioned anywhere that I could find.

And 3) Um, I do post at least 5 comments per post, read my statusbar?

O.O

Ye Gods, I\'m sure you\'re trying to help, but it\'s rather confusing.

Interesting... Millenium... what anime was that from again? I don\'t remember... anyways, this is a beautiful image. Lovely design, I like the blood spatters. Her legs fold a little wierd, but they\'re really hard to draw and you made a fantastic effort. THe overall effect is really very good, I like it a lot. I especially love the little cuts out of the lettering... makes it look kind of rusty or something.

Still, this is your second post in the same day right in a row (see previous comment), and it's not exactly fantasty from what I can see. That's another rule, the material on this board is limited to fantasy only (which your first post was perfect for).

I agree with darkrose. I suggest you read over the rules again to see what you can and cannot do on this board and everything will be hunky-dory - also, be sure to comment on others, at least five comments for every one image you draw. ^^

Millenium is in Hellsing. Yay Hellsing.

I like the simplicity of this, the black and white of the figure really make him or her stand out. I love the flowy motion to the hair. That's something I personally have trouble with, showing proper amounts of motion in hair. I'll have to keep this comment short as I don't really have a lot of time here, but all in all I like this, and before I forget:

WELCOME TO THE BOARD!!! *throws confetti*

I like the pose on this. And the simplicity in color. Solids with um.. I don't know what they're called.. half-tones? is always something else I have enjoyed~

I'm sorry but i'm gonna have to disagree to who ever said this wasnt fantasy. Hellsing (right?) is a vampire manga. Hence this character is eather a slayer or a vampire or a potential victom (harle would know more i just borrow). If you look close you will notice there isnt a shadow. some vampire superstitions state that as a vampire characteristic. Like no reflection and such. Its up to the artist how much or little significance those details are. Like in art sometimes little details are the most important aspect of the piece. Giving an other wise "eye candy piece" a meaning, or moral.

So this piece is lagit. The other rules you have questions on i really dont know. I am never one to read the rules. I just had someone Summarize it. Scifi/ fantasy only. and i thnk its more common curtisy to post only once. People HAVE posted 2 in one day before. I myself infact. but i dont do it regularly. But the rules are supp[osed to be updatd now. so perhaps youll find your answers there?

NOW for this piece. The hair is beutiful. So pretty and flowing strands. reminds me of chobits. The blood draws you to the character. and the simple BG makes the black quite evident.

WELCOME TO THE BOARD!!!!!!!!!!!! I thnk once you get past 14 pics youll be used to the rules. All artists approach problems at a different angle. So dont worry so much, just express yourself in scifi and fantasy.

Aaaagh! It's hideous!
*convulses and lies still*
Sorry, this is my first ever okaeki, so don't laugh too hard. I'm terrible at using new programs. >.<

Kari Maxwell @ Monday, January 31st 2005, 4:39 AM
Wowzers... that's really good for a first oekaki. The hair's really pretty, and the shading is great! I love the ears as well. Welcome to Drowkaki! ^_^

darkrose @ Monday, January 31st 2005, 7:15 AM
Welcome! Although I notice you posted two pictures in a row... we try not to do that. It pushes other people's work off the front page and makes it harder for them to get acknowledged. I like this a lot, though, you've got the shading down pat. Beautiful job making things look metallic and shiny. I think the only thing that would make this picture worlds better would be a background... something interesting. Maybe if you spend more time on your work instead of doing two, you could make one really really awesome one? So, yes, welcome to the board. This is a fantastic first oekaki... if you need help understanding any of the programs then feel free to ask. I still don't know how they work for the most part, I learn something new every time!

Welcome on the oekaki board

catboi incubus mishi @ Monday, January 31st 2005, 2:33 PM
If my first ever oekaki was like this, I wouldn't be complaining. o __o;;
Welcome to Drowkaki!

Sumi @ Monday, January 31st 2005, 9:03 PM
Wow, compared to my first one this rocks. XD Well, compared to any of mine this rocks. Very nice light and shading style and I really like your lineart. I took a visit to your site too. Very cool. ;3

Kwetha @ Wednesday, February 2nd 2005, 8:47 PM
dear lord, this is your FIRST? well, some people get all the luck. And talent. Gah. I love the shading on the skin and the jackety-thing. All so metallic and smooth and pretty. And the hair is so wonderfully shiney too. ^^ However, the lineart's a little bit unclean, especially arround the muzzle (?) thing. Maybe you could clean it up a bit? It distracts from the overall smooth effect of the piece.

Prismatic @ Thursday, February 3rd 2005, 8:21 AM
This is really fantastic for your first! Wow, even like.. my tenth wasn't nearly this good.
Welcome to the board by the way~~
I like their expression, and excellent work with the profile. You did an good job with blending the colors together and giving it that soft feel.
Hope to see more soon.~

Segzhan @ Friday, February 4th 2005, 3:00 AM
Wow. Just wow. Looks kinda like my character, Roxel. Gotta love the coloring. o0

Jennifer, The Blue Narian @ Saturday, February 12th 2005, 6:20 PM
Very well done for a first oekaki. And I went and took a look at your comic. Nice. Curious as to where it's going to lead.

Ikena @ Sunday, February 13th 2005, 4:11 PM
Woah! so cool!
I love her expression and the coloring! is so great! i love the smooothness of it and the shinies =]

Queen_Godzilla @ Saturday, March 5th 2005, 12:39 AM
Wow, for some reason your art reminds me of Otterhare's (Plus a bit of one other girl on Fernkaki and I can't remember her name.) I don't know why. Maybe it's the shape of the head or the shinies. Ooooh, the shinies.

Your first oekaki? Are you freakin' serious? XD LIES!! LIES!!

I love the hair gradient and how the expression is of disdain. There really isn't much I can say about this picture, though. XD Not a lot in the picture means not a lot to say.

Totchi @ Friday, May 27th 2005, 8:19 PM
I like the colors- - very cool highlights!
