Drowkaki was finally upgraded to Poteto 5.1 then to Wax Poteto. A much needed upgrade after so many years without change and with all these bugs plaguing us. We had to trash our custom MODS but it seem that wax poteto include some of the stuff we had. Avatar(go in your profile) and picture uploading. It also come with some new features as well. The most important one is to be able to re-touch everything, including SHI-PAINTER pictures , non animated oekaki and uploaded stuff. I'm sorry we didn't do this upgrade sooner. Now the board is pretty much lifeless, but i hope now that approving new accountsl became optional, that some life will return around here on this fantasy-only oekaki board.

[201] Artist: Ghislain WildCat | Title: "realistic" Loki pic for windy. ^w^ | Time: 159 min

[View Animation]
Ghislain WildCat @ Monday, February 14th 2005, 8:54 PM
Finished! Yaaaay! ^w^

Well, this is my first oekaki pic where I use my \"realist\" drawing style. Even though I don't master it as well as I do with pencil, I must say this is one of my best oekaki pic in my opinion. ^w^

Oh! And the character's Loki, one of windy's character who's also one of my favorite of her's. ^w^ Prepare to be HADOKENED by his magic! XD

Oh! And I really hope you like it windy! ^w^

KHatch @ Tuesday, February 15th 2005, 5:40 AM
The shading on the red parts of the outfit are very well done, so clothy to me.
I love it! Nice to see your work, Ghis.

windblade @ Thursday, February 17th 2005, 3:49 AM
woah. You really made a big effort for the shading and the highlights! All the folds in Loki's robe are AMAZING! That fireball looks pretty cool too! (Is it me, or is the side of his hat catching fire? =p wouldn't surprise me, it'd be Loki's style!)

Thanks a lot, Ghis!

Ghislain WildCat @ Thursday, February 17th 2005, 1:44 PM
*to windy* Well, It's more like the fireball reflecting on the hat than anything... but seeing it your way, it's true that this little lighting effect could be turned into his hat starting to catch fire. XD

Bad windy! You managed to turn one of my rare serious pics into a humorous one! XD

darkrose @ Thursday, February 17th 2005, 5:31 PM
ooh, is fantastic! Beautiful job with the folds in the cloth, and details like stiching are important! Everything looks really great especially lineart wise. My only comment would be a lack of contrast between shaded and lit areas... fire has a nasty habit of throwing darker than normal shadows and bright orange/yellow highlights... you've got the highlights down pat, all that's missing are the black spots. Still, it's excellent work, and it's good to see your art again. <{^ ^}>

Prismatic @ Thursday, February 17th 2005, 9:04 PM
Very nice pose. I am especially fond of the clothing and hat. Ths shading and highlights are magnificant. And the details to it are wonderful.. such as the stitching.
The face was well done and looks rather proportional. As well as the hands~
I like how the background is blurred bringing more focus to him.~

krypto @ Monday, February 21st 2005, 12:03 AM
i can't see anything wrong with the individual you drew. The bg is nice too. lol, good job, nice use of colors and great proportions.

Karasu @ Monday, February 21st 2005, 1:35 AM
wow, the first think that caught my eye about this picture is the wonderful and intricated coloring/lighting/shading on the skirt! I think it was dont just -perfectly-, however i think that the shading on the face could use a little more contrast, as well as the wand (the wand jewel seems to stand out too much and the stick part of it doesnt seem to stand out at all) I can see you put a lot of effort into the clothing so I give you that credit!

Ikena @ Sunday, February 27th 2005, 5:42 PM
Ah! I really like the pose and his expression =3

This is a pic to show what my mood was for the past 2 weeks for me. I know some of you knows what it is all about, but I'd rather not explain it here since it's pretty personnal...

kyokurrychan @ Saturday, January 1st 2005, 7:54 AM
waaaaaaaaah, that pic makes me uber sad ;.;

Darkrose @ Saturday, January 1st 2005, 9:20 AM
aww.... I wanna pretty kitty. Of course that's how I've gotten into my current predicament, with two cats that HATE each other and one that's more neurotic than a Jhonen Vasquez character... but alas. Your picture is so sad.... hopefully you'll feel better soon <{^.^}>

Kern @ Saturday, January 1st 2005, 9:35 AM
aww poor kitten *pick him up and feed him*
Well i guess you holidays sucked :/ sorry to hear about that

Harlequin @ Saturday, January 1st 2005, 10:07 AM
Well, I know a little bit of what happened. And I've gotta say, I can see how it'd be damn depressing, but don't let that cloud of saddness stick around too long. It's harder to move on if you dwell too long. Though I'm really one to talk about that...

I think my favorite part of this...is the condensed breath. See, that's the type of thing I would forget, and it's those little details that just make an image look right. I like the snow gathering on the tops of the wings, and the flaps of the box, sort of shows how long this little guy has been outside. I love the fur markings, and with a subject so small I personally think it's a bit difficult to get a decent amount of detail as well as color depth in. But on both fronts you've done an excellent job. I like the piece, it's really well done, what inspired it...well, not so much.

Feel better soon Ghis, just don't stay broken up over it for too long.

(Edited on January 1, 2005, 10:23 am)

windblade @ Saturday, January 1st 2005, 3:35 PM
oh... my... I don't think I ever saw you draw something this depressing, Ghis! But at the same time, I have to say it's one of my favourite of yours. Poor Ghis kitty! *puts an umbrella over the box so you don't get snowed on, and a large fluffy blanket so you don't freeze* Feel better, 'kay? We care about you.

Carbuncle @ Saturday, January 1st 2005, 4:03 PM
AWW! this is so sad... I'm sorry about you r Holidays... I hope you feel better soon!~~~ I love the texture of the box and the paper they look damp..the snow is alittle clumpy, but I think I'v seen snow like that... overall a wonderful (sad) pic!

Kamourian King @ Saturday, January 1st 2005, 4:36 PM
thats really sad Gris.... illl give the kitty a nice home to stay ^^

oni shi @ Saturday, January 1st 2005, 9:16 PM
*snug hug* i dunno whut happened but we luv you! *cuddles kitty* beautiful image i love everything

Olsie @ Saturday, January 1st 2005, 9:17 PM
Optimism is the key; and drawing this type of mood out helps ease the bad thoughts.
It's a great picture; you did a wonderful job with the quality. The mood makes me feel all sad inside though :/

AnimeCanuck @ Sunday, January 2nd 2005, 4:21 PM
This is the most heartstring-pulling, emotional picture I've ever seen you draw, Ghislain! *pat pats* Feel better, okay? All the tiny details on the kitten are amazingly well done. And he is soooo cute! (But it's sooo sad!!!!!) Just remember that you're never alone, okay?

Kamourian King @ Sunday, January 2nd 2005, 8:10 PM
congrats for the arcive ^^

Lady_Sea @ Sunday, January 2nd 2005, 9:31 PM
Aw. I'll keep you in my prayers ;_:. I hope whatever is wrong gets better.

This is really such a depressing pictures. I'm back on my kitty obsession and I want another kitten ;_:. The snow was really nicely done. It has that frostly cold look to it with the blue mixture. The sign behind the kitten was also done well. It has this tattered, beaten up city street like look to it. Did that make sense?
Nicely done. *steals the free kitten*

Starisan @ Monday, January 3rd 2005, 11:32 PM
It looks like you were feeling lonely, I'm sorry if that's the case. I think this image has a beautiful glow to it and the ralism is great. The box definately has depth and the Kitten seems to have good substance in the box. Great technique and a powerful feeling that comes across.

KHatch @ Tuesday, January 4th 2005, 8:19 PM
I already told you what I think. =)
I like this piece, though. The emotion is well expressed and the kitty is well drawn. The taped up note is just wonderful, but yet so so sad.
I like it. It's sad, but I like it.

celestial crou @ Wednesday, January 5th 2005, 5:02 AM
indeed. This is depressing. Such a cute little kitten. Kinda reminds me of my cat when he was a kitten. Malnurished and pitiful and yet the only thing he wants is to be loved. This is a very emotional piece.

The snow is colored nicely. adding varaitions. The old box is ...well..old and ...a box. Nice job shading the box and creating the soggy falling apart apearence. and the bricks and sign are shaded nicly as well.

Basil @ Thursday, January 6th 2005, 11:54 PM
Such a sad picture... It's gorgeous, but so sad... Feel better, Ghis. The Drowkaki kids are always here for you. <3

YES! It's finally done and complete! Hope you like the pic windy! Not only is that oekaki the one I've put the most character in, it's also the one that took me the most time (the timer isn't off at all!)

Here's the name of all the characters, from left to right and up to down: Chris, Felina, Kali, Loki, La?na (yes, she's grabbing Loki's butt), Angeline, Fay (who's eating that cake made with Reese's pieces and a giant Reese), Death (in it's catgirl form XD), Betty, Dhell, myself (I'm holding my right arm like this 'cuz even though I've got hurt almost a month ago, my shoulder still hurts a bit), Gary the janitor and finally, Gary's mop. Those are the characters that "haunts" windy and I's online discutions the most. I could've added Ed, Al, Mustang, Hughes and Armstrong from FMA... but I do have some limits. ^w^;;; I hope it's worth all the waiting for those who wanted to see it finished so badly!

Rigga Mortis @ Friday, December 24th 2004, 7:08 PM
I hope your arm is better, Ghislain! Despite it all, the lineart of this is looking wonderful. So clean, and all the characters (and their interactions) is something I find very amusing.

HuntressD @ Friday, December 24th 2004, 8:01 PM
Whoa Ghis, this is coming along nicely! Can't wait to see it done! :D :D Mmmmm...Cake!

Darkrose @ Friday, December 24th 2004, 9:15 PM
hehee, wow cool! Finish soon! I've been watching the progess on this and am thrilled with it thus far... so many characters are hard to draw and keep them all in the same scale! Good job so far!

Rasen @ Friday, December 24th 2004, 9:16 PM
This looks adorable already. I especially like all the humorous interaction between the characters. It'll be great to see this done. ^_^

AnimeCanuck @ Friday, December 24th 2004, 10:01 PM

Still not finished, huh? Come on!!! Hurry it up! Windy's birthday was days ago! (sorry I didn't draw you anything Windy. I guess I could now, although it's late. Got any requests for me to try my hand at?)

Ikena @ Monday, December 27th 2004, 10:19 PM
I cant wait to see it done! =3

windblade @ Wednesday, December 29th 2004, 1:59 AM
Ieeeee! *dives face-first into the cake and snarfs it* This is so cute, Ghis! Thankyouuu! Heh, poor Loki, always a victim. And you drew the clones! I'm sure they'll be very happy to see themselves here! And... and... Chris looks like he's had a little too much to drink =p
*sniffles* You're the only one who's ever drawn my Summon: Sword of destiny characters. Teehee... The tip of Loki's tail is dark brown, you know =p
Thanks again, for my good Mouriale buddy!

Darkrose @ Wednesday, December 29th 2004, 5:22 AM
Ooh, color! Wow... there's a lot of people there... and a janitor with a mop monster, and poor Dhell looks frightened out of his wits... Heheh, welcome to the magical world of, eh? This turned out just spectacular, with so much action and life to it. HAPPY BIRTHDAY WINDY! (ok, so I'm like a week late, but hey. I care.)

LunarMnM2004 @ Wednesday, December 29th 2004, 5:40 PM
Oh it so pretty! and well drawn and colored neat!
